The actress Vidina Popov weaves interviews, documentaries and encounters into a fast-paced, 360-degree musical investigation of the concept of ‘home’. She explores its loss, the associated clichés and experiences in a new space. In her brilliant one-woman show, a mixture of theatre and stand-up, Popov exposes with biting humour how deceptive assumptions about others and oneself can be – spruced up with live music and a great deal of Balkan soul.<\/p>\n Vidina Popov was a member of the ensemble at the Gorki Theatre Berlin from 2017 to 2024. Born in Austria, she also works regularly in film and television, including in the ARD series “Der Lissabon Krimi” and “Tatort”. In 2024, she hosted the German theatre award FAUST. She has been successfully performing her self-written play “I am Bulgarian?!” for ten years, including at Deutsches Theater Berlin, Staatstheater Hannover and Heimathafen Neukölln.<\/p>\n Michael Glucksmann is an Israeli guitarist and bassist who has lived in Berlin since 2013. He composes, arranges, produces and performs music in various ensembles as well as theatre, dance and film productions.
