The programme is set, advance booking is underway:
The 12th asphalt Festival in Düsseldorf starts in just a few weeks! 46 events, 19 days, six world premieres, three venues, an exhilarating festival experience: look forward to theatre, dance, concerts, readings and parties at the “Summer of the Arts” from 3 to 21 July 2024!
Central, easy to reach and very close: all the venues for this year’s festival edition are located in the city centre. The hub of asphalt N° 12 is the 34OST art and culture centre in the former Conrad Electronic building, this year’s festival centre with 2,000 square metres of space for art – and our pop-up festival bar! Of course, our most popular venue will be back on the water in 2024: the enchanting Seebühne am Schwanenspiegel, our magical oasis between nature and urbanity. Our venue for major international theatre productions is the D’haus Central.
Socially just and responsible!
To enable as many people as possible to see the festival’s two biggest stage productions, we are introducing a solidarity pricing system for Skatepark and Moscoviáda: If you have little money, you only pay 9 euros for tickets. Those who can afford it will pay more and thus subsidise the tickets of less affluent culture fans.
Join the Skatepark!
asphalt is looking for young skaters
between the ages of 8 and 25 – not beginners, not professionals, but talented on a skateboard or roller skates. Members of the Düsseldorf skate community will also take part in the three performances of the spectacular play Skatepark on 19, 20 and 21 July.
Curious? Then send an email to production@asphalt-festival.de and come to our casting event on 5 May at Skatepark Eller.
