Israeli singer-songwriter Omer Moskovich calls her distinctive style ‘existential pop’. The prominent voice of the Israeli music scene is known for her feminist and critical lyrics and her sharp humour. The music videos of the singer-songwriter from Tel Aviv, who comes from a family of artists, are real eye-catchers. Moskovich blends contemporary beats with Middle Eastern instrumentation in her music, and writes her lyrics in Hebrew. Her second album “Join The Herd (2020)” was voted one of the best Israeli albums of all time by a leading US podcast. The album “Lewawot Barsel” (Iron Hearts), which the artist recorded after 7 October, is somewhat less rebellious and playful than its predecessors and is characterised by a desire to offer comfort. ‘The songs are an attempt to open the heart again, to feel pain again, maybe even to forgive,’ says Moskovich. She will perform at the asphalt Festival with her four-piece band.
