the 14th asphalt Festival will take place in Düsseldorf from 15 July to 2 August 2026. 70 performances, 19 days, six venues, an electrifying festival experience: look forward to theatre, dance, concerts, readings and photographic art at the »Summer of the Arts«!

We are delighted to announce a new partnership with the Kunsthalle: for the first time, the asphalt Festival will be hosted in their spectacular underground exhibition space, KIT – Kunst im Tunnel. Here, we will be showcasing an exhibition by the photographic artist Laurenz Berges and presenting four evenings of concerts within this unique architectural setting and acoustic environment.
How do you play the perfect cat? What would you want to do if you knew you didn’t have long to live? What can we learn from astronauts about the moon?
