Breathtaking intensity, unmistakable sound

Erik Leuthäuser

German musician Erik Leuthäuser is a restless force of nature on the contemporary music scene. The charismatic singer incorporates language into his distinctive sound, which lies somewhere between modern jazz and experimental pop. This creates a rare unity of music and lyrics of breathtaking intensity. With his German-language songs, the singer has almost single-handedly created his own unique jazz idiom. »With his queer big-city music, Leuthäuser is a whole new type of jazz musician: one with rough edges and character, « wrote the Berliner Zeitung. Leuthäuser has been nominated for several awards, including the German Jazz Prize 2025 and the German Record Critics’ Award. His latest album »Sucht«, released in 2024 on the Berlin label »Fun in the Church«, features collaborations with Dexter Francis Mason and Wanja Slavin. At his Seebühne concert, Leuthäuser will perform as a duo with pianist Julius Windisch.

Molass

Molass are rethinking the neo-soul genre: the quartet from Cologne combines funk and jazz with electronic influences to create a vibrant, distinctive sound. Inspired by artists such as Hiatus Kaiyote, Moses Sumney and The Alan Parsons Project, Marissa Möller (vocals), Jan Lammert (keys), Julian Schwiebert (bass) and Lambert Windges (drums) create a »groovy fairytale« that balances hypnotic warmth with sharp contrasts. Molass were runners-up in Germany’s biggest jazz award for young talent, the »Future Sounds« at the Leverkusen Jazz Days 2021, and also took second place at the Montreux Jazz Festival Band Contest in 2025. The band’s international fan base is growing steadily: their Insta and TikTok reels have reached over five million views, and in 2024 the band successfully toured the UK for the first time. Molass have released two studio albums to date, with their second EP »Wait for it« being released at the end of 2025.
