On the last evening of this year’s festival edition, asphalt and the urban magazine THE DORF will celebrate the grand festival finale at 34OST! Two DJs provide the sound:
Daniel Wang is originally from California and New York, but has lived in Germany for 22 years and plays at the most popular parties every month, whether in Brazil, Japan, Rome, Paris, Helsinki or in his new home city of Berlin. Some call his style ‘disco’, but he himself says he simply makes ‘real music for real people’: no laptop techno, no mechanical algorithms, just great grooves with lots of real strings and guitars. Daniel Wang is a regular resident DJ at the Paloma Bar in Berlin and currently also plays at Toytonics, Gegen and Lunchbox Candy in the capital.
The warm-up will be provided by a DJ from Düsseldorf: Robin Mario is a passionate vinyl collector with a particular interest in the Detroit and Chicago sound. Together with Herbert Boese and Deekay, he forms the collective Backroom Basics, which combines house, funk, disco and soul. However, it’s not the genre that counts for him first and foremost, but the vibe. Robin will start the evening with a vinyl set.
Look forward to the finest sounds from the turntables, ice-cold drinks and a crowd full of creative minds from the worlds of art, music and design – just as you would expect from our friends at THE DORF.
