“Goosen’s stories are nothing less than life itself.”
General-Anzeiger Bonn
The place you come from or call home, the game eleven against eleven and electrically amplified noise with melody and alcoholic beverages – these are the topics Frank Goosen deals with.
For his programme »Heimat, Fußball, Rockmusik – Ein bisschen was vom Besten« (Home, Football, Rock Music – A Bit of the Best), he has put together a colourful mix of tried and tested songs and perhaps even one or two new stories about Omma, Oppa, Vatta, Mutta, Kind, Theo, Scotty or the many other heroes of his work. Audiences can look forward to extremely funny and punchy cabaret from the Ruhr area and feel free to slip into their FC Goosen jersey . . .
In addition to his successful books such as »Sommerfest« and »Liegen lernen«, some of which have been adapted for the screen, Frank Goosen has published numerous short stories and columns. Born in Bochum, Germany, he has turned his writing into solo cabaret programmes, which he has toured throughout Germany. He has received numerous awards, including the Ruhr Literature Prize and the German Cabaret Prize.

What the press say:
‘For almost two and a half hours, he delivers one howler after another.’
WAZ
‘If such literary and cabaret sophistication is the reward for a (musically) messed-up childhood and youth in the Ruhr, we want more of it!’
