Born in New York and now living in Berlin, Sorvina is an artist whose music is developing as dynamically as her life story. She gained her first stage experience as a folk singer-songwriter, but the young musician is now firmly rooted in the pulsating world of hip-hop. She combines infectious beats with tragicomic lyrics in which she vividly describes her inner life. Her music moves in the area between jazz-rap, neo-soul, hip-hop and gospel. Sorvina’s love of rhythm and rhyme and her visibly boundless joy in making music, which she radiates with every fibre of her being on stage, are absolutely captivating. In 2024, she won the “Listen to Berlin” award, which honours innovative musicians in Berlin’s music and creative industries. Sorvina and her four-piece band will perform this year’s opening concert on the Seebühne, creating an unforgettable experience!
