»Fantastic, grand and dark in the best sense of the word«
Jazzthetic
If John Coltrane were to play with Rage Against The Machine, Billy Cobham were to jam with Daft Punk, and Amon Tobin were to remix songs by Pink Floyd, the result would probably be something quite close to OZMA’s music. The five-piece band led by drummer Stéphane Scharlé is regarded as a key player in modern French jazz and has been touring the world for over 20 years. Across nine albums and countless concerts in over 40 countries on four continents, the explosive quintet presents its music, which is as accessible as it is adventurous, blending the energy of rock, the soundscapes of electronic music and the freedom of jazz. Bandleader and composer Stéphane Scharlé describes his latest work, »The Day We Decided to Live at Night« (2025), as his most personal to date. It is inspired by a dystopian vision in which humanity lives at night to escape unbearable heat. There is no doubt that Stéphane Scharlé (drums), Édouard Séro-Guillaume (bass), Musina Ébobissé (saxophone), Adlane Aliouche (keys) and Martin Ferreyros (guitar) will bring the Seebühne to life!
