asphalt is doing everything in its power to be a climatefriendly festival and, among other things, to ensure that the artists and ensembles are travelling to the festival with as low emissions as possible. of the
theatre
and
into the
city
In this special year, we are avoiding long distances and playing exclusively in the city centre. All venues can be reached within a few minutes by bike or a short train ride. Those who are good on foot can also easily walk there. asphalt 2021 plays indoors in the D’haus Central at the main station and in the Berger Kirche in the old town, outdoors on the open-air stage on Gustaf-Gründgens-Platz in front of the Schauspielhaus and the floating Seebühne at the Schwanenspiegel. In addition, the productions “ROM / MENSCH” and “Do not open!” take place in public spaces. Seating at all open-air events is not covered. Please therefore wear clothing appropriate for the weather.

Information about buying tickets
Advance booking. Tickets are available
– online via our website on the event pages of the respective event
– at all known advance booking offices (Click here to search for advance booking outlets by postcode.)

Big discounts in advance booking. It pays to book early: our discounted advance booking prices apply until the day before the event, and the box office prices apply on the day of the event.
Shipping options.
– E-ticket with QR code / Print@Home ticket (free of charge)
– Dispatch by post up to 5 working days before the event (€4.90 postage fee).
It is not possible to reserve or deposit tickets at the box office.
Please help us to conserve resources for the sake of the environment. Do not print out your ticket, but present the QR code from the confirmation email on your mobile phone or the digital ticket in your wallet at the entrance.
Discounts. Pupils, trainees and students, volunteers, severely disabled, unemployed and welfare recipients can purchase tickets at a reduced price upon presentation of proof. A valid authorisation card (pupil’s ID, student ID, severely disabled person’s ID, etc.) must be presented at the entrance to the event. If no authorisation card can be presented, admission will only be granted upon payment of the difference to the normal price.
Professional tickets. Professional artists can obtain discounted tickets. This requires accreditation in advance of the festival at profi-ticket@asphalt-festival.de.
Bookings for school classes. Teachers wishing to book tickets for school classes should send an email to info@asphalt-festival.de.
No returns, no exchanges. Purchased tickets cannot be returned or exchanged, except for cancelled performances.
Information on accessibility. All venues are accessible to wheelchair users and visitors with reduced mobility. Wheelchair accessible toilets are available at all venues.
